BELGRADE (Serbia), June 21 (SeeNews) – US-based Stavatti Aerospace said it has signed an agreement with Serbia's state-run Jugoimport for joint production of a new single engine aircraft.
The aircraft will be produced at the UTVA factory in Pancevo, northern Serbia, and exported worldwide, Stavatti said in a statement on Tuesday.
This deal represents the first Addendum to the Agreement on Strategic Partnership and Long Term Business and Technical Cooperation that Stavatti and Jugoimport signed on April 19, Stavatti said.
UTVA is ISO 9001 Certified and was certified by Boeing in 1990 as an airframe parts and assemblies manufacturer responsible for producing machined and sheet metal aircraft parts, tools, and assemblies, including slats, wing tips, cargo doors, and floor supports for 737, 747 and 757 commercial aircraft.
Stavatti focuses on the design, development, and production of next generation aerospace vehicles, the US firm added.
In the aerospace sector, Jugoimport produces air-to-surface weapons, aircraft engines, weapon pods and mountings, as well as fixed and rotary wing aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
