November 11 (SeeNews) - Turkish food and consumer goods retailer BIM Birlesik Magazalar [BIST:BIMAS] said its consolidated net profit rose to 307.2 million Turkish lira ($150.7 million/112.4 million euro) in the first nine months of 2013 from 246.6 million lira a year ago.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 22% on the year to 442.8 million lira, the retailer said in a financial presentation on Friday.
Revenues rose 19% to 8.7 billion lira and like-for-like sales grew 10.2% to 7.265 billion lira.
BIM's third-quarter consolidated net profit jumped 36% to 117.3 million lira while its revenues advanced 21% to 3.1 billion lira.
During the third quarter BIM opened 63 new stores in Turkey, 16 in Morocco and 3 in Egypt, it added.
