February 13 (SeeNews) - Turkey's retail sales volume at constant prices rose by 11% year-on-year in December, after increasing by 10.5% a month earlier, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
Drinks and tobacco sales volume grew by 5.3% year-on-year, while non-food sales, not including automotive fuel, increased by 15.5%. Automotive fuel sales volume alone rose by 7.8% in the month under review, TurkStat said in a statement.
On a monthly comparison basis, retail sales volume at constant prices increased by 1.1% in December.
Retail turnover at current prices rose by 22.1% on the year in December, after increasing by 18.6% in the previous month.
