ISTANBUL (Turkey), December 15 (SeeNews) – Turkish automotive manufacturer Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi [BIST:OTKAR] said it has received a new order worth 161.9 million Turkish lira ($69.5 million/55.9 million euro) to supply armoured vehicles to Turkey's internal security forces.
The company plans to complete the deliveries of the 4x4 tactical wheeled armoured vehicles in 2015-2016, it said in a bourse filing on Thursday.
Last month, Otokar received a 76.8 million lira order for armoured vehicles from the country’s internal security forces, with deliveries planned in 2015.
Otokar produces military and commercial vehicles and buses at its factory in the Black Sea province of Sakarya. Its main shareholder is Turkish conglomerate Koc Holding with a stake of 45%. Local company Unver Holding owns a 25% stake, and the remaining shares of Otokar are trading on Borsa Istanbul.
