ANKARA (Turkey), January 20 (SeeNews) – Turkey's industrial production increased by 5.1% year-on-year in November, the country's statistical office said.
On a subsector basis, the mining and quarrying index increased by 7.2% annually and the manufacturing index gained 5.3% annually, whereas the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index decreased by 1.2% year-on-year, data published on the TurkStat website last week showed.
In a monthly comparison, the country's industrial output increased by 0.7% in November.
According to data from the EU's statistical office, Eurostat, Turkey's industrial production growth in November surpassed that of the bloc.
Seasonally adjusted industrial production rose by 0.2% in the euro area and fell by 0.1% in the bloc on a monthly basis in November, according to estimates from Eurostat.
On an annual basis, industrial production decreased by 1.5% in the euro area and by 1.3% in the EU.
