September 2 (SeeNews) - Turkey's exports increased by 1.3% to $98.9 billion (74.9 billion euro) in the first eight months of 2013, the Turkish Exporters' Assembly, TIM, said.
In August alone, Turkish exports rose 1.4% year-on-year to $10.6 billion, TIM said in a statement on Sunday.
Exports of olives and olive oil marked the highest annual increase of 145% in August, while the chemicals sector had the highest export value of $1.447 billion, followed by the garment and automotive industries.
In the past 12 months, Turkey's exports went up 5.3% to $151.38 billion.
