August 2 (SeeNews) - Trade in shares of steel radiator manufacturer Korado Bulgaria [BUL:4KX] accounted for 72% of the total regulated market turnover on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange on Thursday, bourse data shows.
Korado Bulgaria shares ended the trading session 0.69% lower at 7.15 levs in a turnover of 1.07 million levs ($635,280/547,100 euro).
On Monday, Korado Bulgaria said its net profit increased to 3.2 million levs in the first half of the year from 3.0 million levs in the same period of 2017. The company's drop in operating revenue, to 20.8 million levs in the review period from 21.6 million levs a year earlier, was offset by a decrease in operating expenses, which declined to 17.3 million levs from 18.7 million levs.
Total regulated market turnover rose nearly tenfold to 1.5 million levs on Thursday from some 160,000 levs on Wednesday.
The blue-chip SOFIX index gained 0.73% to 639.31 points, supported by a 5.63% growth in the share price of First Investment Bank (Fibank) [BUL:5F4], which closed the session at 3.75 levs.
Since Fibank published its non-consolidated interim financial statement on Monday, the company's shares have gained 7.57%.
The lender's unconsolidated net profit increased to 45.4 million levs in the first six months of the year from 40.6 million levs in the corresponding period of 2017.
Diversified group Doverie United Holding [BUL:5DOV] fell the most among blue chips, closing 2.78% lower at 1.75 levs.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, ended the session 0.55% higher at 123.57 points.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts (REITs), added 0.09% to 115.96 points, solely due to a 0.48% increase in the share price of Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:6A6].
A total of 13,254 Advance Terrafund REIT shares changed hands in 25 deals on Thursday, ending the trading session at 2.09 levs.
Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:5BU] was the only other BG-REIT component which traded on Thursday, but the company's shares closed unchanged at 1.9 levs apiece.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 0.45% to 528.71 points.
