June 2 (SeeNews) - Sweden's Rosti Group has leased 11,300 sq m of industrial space in Romania where it plans to build its second plastic injection moulding factory in the country, property and investment management services provider Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL) Romania said on Tuesday.
The construction of the new production facility in Paulesti, near the southern city of Ploiesti, which was announced by Rosti at the end of last year has already started and the delivery date is set for 2021, lease advisor JLL said in a press release.
In December 2019, Rosti Group said that it plans to open a custom-built 10,000 sq m factory for plastic injection moulding and contract manufacturing in Romania in August 2020.
"We are very glad to announce a new production project in Romania in these difficult times. The transaction proves once again the sustainability and the good economic fundamentals of the Romanian industrial market," JLL Romania business development director Viorel Opait said.
The industrial space is developed and rented out by the Belgian logistics real estate expert WDP.
Rosti Romania operates a small factory in Ploiesti established in 2013. As the company has continued to grow and added new contracts, the capacity of its current 4,000 sq m production site in Ploiesti has become insufficient, the company said in December 2019.
Rosti Group AB, owned by the Swedish family-controlled investment company Nordstjernan, is a global plastic injection moulding and contract manufacturer active within a wide range of industries such as packaging, consumer, medical, business machines, industrial and technical products.
