November 12 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian Stock Exchange indices closed higher on Tuesday as turnover dropped to some 150,000 levs ($84,000/77,000 euro).
Power utility CEZ Distribution Bulgaria [BUL:3CZ] was among the top gainers on Tuesday, adding 4% to 208 levs.
Earlier on Tuesday, Czech energy group CEZ said that it has appealed the decision of Bulgaria's competition regulator to ban its 335 million euro deal to sell its assets in Bulgaria to financial and insurance group Eurohold [BUL:4EH]. CEZ's assets in the country include a majority stake in CEZ Distribution Bulgaria.
CEZ Distribution Bulgaria led gainers among members of both the BGBX40 index and the BGTR30 index.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, rose 0.39% to 110.11 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, increased 0.27% to 499.23 points.
The blue-chip SOFIX index advanced 0.08% to 558.24 points, as Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT (BREF) [BUL:5BU] led gainers with a 2% rise to 2.04 levs.
BREF also supported the BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts. The index closed 0.67% higher at 130.04 points.
