May 30 (SeeNews) - Three of the four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) advanced on Tuesday, overturning the losses from the previous day, as companies continued to report consolidated first-quarter results, bourse data showed.
The benchmark SOFIX index rose 0.83% to 666.25 points, led by gains in Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH] and Allterco [BUL:A4L]. Doverie closed 4.51% higher at 8.80 levs, while IoT products maker Allterco rose 2.25% to 27.30 levs.
Allterco was also the top stock by turnover, with 5,557 shares changing hands.
By contrast, blue-chip diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM] shed 2.19% to 0.714 levs, marking the biggest loss among constituents of all three indices apart from the BGREIT.
The BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, went up 0.72% to 147.50 points. Index member Bulgarian River Shipping-Ruse [BUL:BRP] was the strongest performing stock, jumping 12.86% to close at 0.79 levs. The second-best performer of the BGBX40 companies was Industrial Holding Bulgaria [BUL:IHB], which added 7.65% to 1.83 levs.
The gain in Doverie, along with a 2.52% increase in Agria Group Holding [BUL:AGH] to 24.40 levs, made for a 0.38% rise in the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of 10% and more have equal weight. The BGTR30 finished at 746.59 points.
Finally, the BGREIT, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, was the only index to end the session unchanged on Tuesday, at 189.84 points, after neither of the only two member companies that traded recorded any changes to the previous day's close.
Overall turnover on the main market of the BSE tumbled to 433,709 levs ($237,789/221,752 euro) from 2.94 million levs on Monday. Allterco generated 151,706 levs out of Tuesday's total turnover.
