October 3 (SeeNews) - The main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) all closed lower in active trade on Monday, with the blue-chip SOFIX dropping by 2.76% to 570.94 points.
The SOFIX poor performance was driven by declines in Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH] and Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG]. Doverie fell by 7.08% to 6.56 levs, while Eurohold lost 6.54% to 2 levs with 8,324 shares traded.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the bourse's 40 most traded shares, declined by 2.81% to 133.12 points. The top loser was aluminium products manufacturer Alcomet [BUL:ALCM], which plunged by 11.25% to 7.10 levs. It was followed by Industrial Capital Holding [BUL:HIKA], which fell by 8.76% to 2.50 levs and poultry producer Gradus [BUL:GR6], which lost 8.57% to 1.28 levs.
Doverie United and Eurohold Bulgaria also dragged the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. Overall, the index fell by 2.15% to 695.26 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, went down by 1.25% to 176.06 points. The top loser was Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF] after its stock fell by 3.81% to 2.02 levs with 60,445 shares traded. It was followed by Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] which decreased by 1.79% to 2.75 levs with 17,054 shares traded.
Total turnover on the BSE's main market jumped to 8.82 million levs ($4.42 million/4.51 million euro) on Monday from 1.94 million levs on Friday.
The most traded stock was diversified group Synthetica [BUL:SYN], which generated turnover of 4.2 million levs with 84,302 shares traded.
