December 29 (SeeNews) - All indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed the Wednesday trading session in positive territory with the blue-chip SOFIX index rising the most - by 1.25% to 641.24 points, bourse data showed.
The SOFIX was mainly backed by financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG] which saw its shares adding 4.24% to their price.
As many as 5,650 shares in Eurohold changed hands at an average price of 2.3699 levs on the floor of the Sofia bourse on Wednesday.
A 5.33% gain in software developer Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SGH] supported the increases in the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The BGBX40 went up 1.20% to 144.30 poins, while the BGTR30 advanced by 0.59% to 684.22 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, closed 0.41% higher at 165.04 points mainly due to a 1.38% rise in the share price of Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER].
Total turnover on the BSE's main market dropped to 4.1 million levs ($2.4 million/2.1 million euro) on Wednesday from 18.85 million levs on Thursday.
Nearly 2.7 million levs of Wednesday's turnover was formed by trade in bonds.
The stock exchange in Sofia was closed for trading on December 24, December 27, and December 28 for the Christmas holidays.
