May 25 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's economic sentiment index fell by 1.0 percentage point month-on-month to 12.1 in May, after rising by 1.1 p.p. in April, seasonally adjusted data from the country's statistical office showed on Friday.
The indicator was 2.5 percentage points higher than the value recorded in May 2017, and 13.4 p.p. above the long-term average, the data indicated.
In May, the services confidence indicator was the same as in April. Compared to May last year, it increased by 1 p.p. and was 15 p.p. above the long-term average.
The manufacturing confidence indicator stayed the same as in April 2018. On the year it was higher by 2 percentage points (p.p.) and was 8 p.p. above the long-term average.
The retail trade confidence indicator was 10 p.p. lower month-on-month. Compared to May last year, it decreased by 10 p.p. and was 11 p.p. below the long-term average.
In May, the construction confidence indicator was 1 p.p. higher at the monthly level, 18 p.p. higher at the annual level and 42 p.p. above the long-term average.
