LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), September 23 (SeeNews) – Slovenia’s consumer confidence indicator dropped by a monthly 1 percentage points (pps) in September, worsening for a first time following a four-month improvement from the all-time low it touched in April, the country's statistical office said.
In annual terms, consumer confidence was down by 14 pps in September, remaining also 18 pps below last year's average, the statistical office said in a statement on Tuesday.
Two of the four index components declined in monthly terms in September, with the household financial expectations dropping by 6 pps, and savings expectations falling 3 pps.
The expectations about the level of unemployment and the expectations about the country’s economy, however, were more optimistic, advancing by 2 pps and 1 pp, respectively.
In annual terms, all four index components deteriorated in September, including a drop of 29 pps in unemployment expectations, a 19 pps decline in the expectations about the country’s economy, a 10 pps drop in the household financial expectations, and a 2 pps fall in savings expectations.
