LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), December 23 (SeeNews) – Slovenia’s consumer confidence indicator improved by a monthly 4 percentage points (pps) in December, after dropping in the preceding three months, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
In annual terms, consumer confidence was down by 19 pps in December, remaining also 25 pps below last year's average, the statistical office said in a statement.
"On average, 2020 was the most pessimistic year after 2013," the statement read.
Three of the four index components improved in monthly terms in December, with the expectations about the level of unemployment rising by 8 pps, the expectations about the country’s economy increasing by 8 pps, and the household financial expectations adding 5 pps.
At the same time, savings expectations decreased by 2 pps on the month.
