LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), December 21 (SeeNews) – Slovenia’s consumer confidence indicator increased by 2 percentage points (p.p.) on a monthly comparison basis in December, after adding 1 p.p. in November, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
The consumer confidence indicator rose in December due to more optimistic expectations of employment (+4 p.p.). Expectations about Slovenia's economy increased by 3 p.p. each, while households’ financial expectations remained unchanged from their November level, the office of statistics said.
The value of Slovenia's consumer confidence indicator decreased by 5 p.p. compared to December last year, and was the same as last year’s average.
Among its components, the expectations about the country’s economy and the number of unemployed decreased the most - by 13 p.p. and 11 p.p., respectively. Savings expectations increased by 3 p.p., while household’s financial expectations are the same as in December 2017.
