April 30 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's consolidated budget showed a 377 million euro ($410 million) deficit in the Jnuary - March period, as compared to a deficit of 171 million euro in the like period of last year, the finance ministry said on Thursday.
Consolidated budget revenue rose by an annual 2.8% to 4.64 billion euro in the first quarter of the year, while total consolidated expenditures increased by 7.1% to 5.02 billion euro, the finance ministry said in a statement.
In March alone, the consolidated budget deficit widened to 317 million euro from 45 million euro a year earlier.
The general government budget posted a 306 million euro deficit in January-March, up from the 202 million euro gap reported a year earlier, the finance ministry said.
Total revenues of the general government budget edged up by an annual 1% to some 2.4 billion euro in the first quarter of 2020, with tax revenues dropping 1.5% to 2.0 billion euro.
Total expenditures rose 5% on the year to 2.7 billion euro in January-March.
