LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), February 13 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's current account surplus increased to 2.72 billion euro ($2.9 billion) in 2016, from 2.0 billion euro in the previous year, central bank data showed on Monday.
In December alone, Slovenia's current account balance recorded a 134.4 million euro surplus, up from 27 million euro surplus a year earlier.
Slovenia's trade surplus increased slightly to 1.54 billion euro in 2016 from 1.50 billion euro in 2015, as exports rose 3.6% year on year, reaching 24.9 billion euro while imports grew 3.7% to 23.4 billion euro.
