September 22 (SeeNews) - Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair will create 100 jobs in Croatia this winter, investing $300 million (256 million euro) to expand its network and connect Zagreb with 24 European destinations, it said.
“Ryanair is investing in Croatia to help the country recover the tourism industry after the Covid and to improve its connectivity with the rest of Europe ad Ryanair keeps on growing, while air transport gets back to the pre-pandemic level,” its CEO Michael O'Leary said in a statement released late on Tuesday.
Since Ryanair takes over 55 new Gamechanger B737-8200, it will base in Zagreb three new aircraft. This summer, Ryanair opened its Zagreb base initially with one aircraft, then it added a second one to it and in December will expand it with a third one.
This winter Ryanair will fly from Zagreb to Baden Baden, Gothenburg, Naples, Basel, London, Oslo, Bruxelles, Malaga, Paris, Dortmund, Malta, Paphos, Dublin, Malmo, Podgorica, Dusseldorf, Manchester, Rome, Eindhoven, Memmingen, Sofia, Frankfurt, Milan, and Thessaloniki.
