BUCHAREST (Romania), December 4 (SeeNews) – SIF 3 Transilvania, one of Romania’s five regional investment funds, has sold its 8.2% stake in local cargo handling company Port Bazinul Nou for 2.6 million lei ($924,000/612,000 euro), the fund said.
SIF 3 Transilvania sold 258,594 Port Bazinul Nou shares for 10 lei per share, the fund said in a statement late on Thursday. The transaction took place on the over-the-counter market RASDAQ. The buyers were not identified.

SIF 3 Transilvania shares last traded 0.7% down at 0.705 lei on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB, at 1005 GMT on Friday. Port Bazinul Nou’s stock closed 63.9% up on RASDAQ on Thursday. Its shares were not traded by 1026 GMT on Friday.
Port Bazinul Nou operates the Bazinul Nou port on the Danube river in Galati, eastern Romania. It also provides sea and river transportation of timber and steel products.
Metaltrade International was the largest shareholder in Port Bazinul Nou holding a 88.7% stake at end-June, data from Romania's Central Depository showed. Smaller shareholders owned the balance.
