December 28 (SeeNews) - Romania issued 2,614 building permits for residential projects in November, down by 5.2% from a year earlier, the country's statistics board INS said on Friday.
On a monthly basis the number of issued building permits declined by 21.3% in November, INS said in a statement. As many as 64.8% of the permits issued last month were for projects in the country's rural areas.
The total number of permits for residential buildings issued in the first eleven months of 2012 decreased by 3.2% from a year earlier to 35,521. INS provided no figure for the value of the projects which were granted permits.
In 2011 the number of permits issued for residential buildings in Romania fell by 6.6% to 39,424.
