December 28 (SeeNews) - Romanian oil and gas group OMV Petrom sold one lot of 18,230 Megawatt hours (MWh) of electricity for 4.2 million lei ($1.3 million/946,500 euro) on the domestic energy market on Thursday out of the five lots it had offered, data from the country's power market operator OPCOM showed.
OMV Petrom had offered for sale 91,150 MWh of electricity divided in five equal lots for a total of 20.7 million lei. The group failed to sell four of the lots either because there were no bids or because bidders had failed to provide payment guarantees.
OMV Petrom put on stream its 860-megawatt gas-fired power plant in Brazi, central Romania, in August 2012.
