June 22 (SeeNews) - Romanian dental care products distributor Dentotal Protect, said that together with its investor, private equity fund Abris Capital, it inaugurated a 2,500 sq m warehouse in Eli Park Chitila near Bucharest following a 400,000 euro ($448,540) investment.
The two companies aim to triple the warehouse's delivery capacity and order processing during the next three months, they said in a joint press release.
"For any distribution company, an optimised logistic flow is an essential condition to successfully deliver to its clients. This is the reason why the most important project of Dentotal – after being acquired by Abris Capital in 2019 – is the new logistic centre we just inaugurated," Dentotal Protect CEO Dumitru Matei said.
The company also said that it continues to move forward with its plans to grow organically and through acquisitions. The recruitment process for new employees has been going on during the pandemic period in order to adjust the staff numbers to new demands, it added.
"The dental products distribution market, just as the whole dental care sector, was one of the most affected by COVID-19 crisis. Nevertheless, before the pandemic period, this market was one of the most dynamic and resilient, with a yearly growth of 15-20%, and a growth for Dentotal even greater than that of the market," Abris Capital investment manager Mihai Zamfir said.
Founded in 1994 by dental care practitioner Anghel Dogariu, Dentotal Protect now employs 120 and has more than 12,000 clients – dental care clinics and laboratories in the whole country.
Dentotal Protect is part of Dentotal Group.
Earlier this month Dentotal Group said it is opening an ibis Styles hotel in the central part of Romania's capital Bucharest on June 22, following a 10 million euro investment.
The group owns another four-star Mercure hotel in central Bucharest, which it inaugurated in 2014.
