BUCHAREST (Romania), January 9 (SeeNews) - Romanian stock indices fell on Wednesday in lower turnover, Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) data showed.
The total equity turnover of the BVB fell to 27 million lei (6.7 million/5.8 million euro) on Wednesday from 56 million lei on Tuesday.
Oil and gas group OMV Petrom [BSE:SNP] share price fell 0.66% to 0.2995 lei, generating the largest trading turnover on Wednesday - of 10.8 million lei.
Blue-chip lender Banca Transilvania [BSE:TLV] lost 1.21% to 02.04lei in the day's second largest turnover, of 4.9 million lei.
Financial group BRD Societe Generale [BSE:BRD] lost 0.87% at 11.34 lei in a trading turnover of 4.8 million lei - the third largest during the trading session.
