July 31 (SeeNews) - Romania's finance ministry plans to auction 2.8 billion lei ($709 million/605 million euro) worth of government securities in August, including 330 million lei in non-competitive offers, it said on Tuesday.
The finance ministry plans eight auctions of government securities with residual maturities ranging from two years to 13 years, it said in a monthly debt issuance calendar.
The ministry planned to auction 3.1 billion lei worth of government securities in July and managed to sell the entire amount.
Since the beginning of 2018, the finance ministry has sold roughly 21 billion lei and has raised 2 billion euro on international markets from the sale of 2028 and 2030 Eurobonds, as well as $1.2 billion of 2048 dollar bonds.
