LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), September 11 (SeeNews) – The blue-chip SBITOP index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) fell 0.10% to 849.69 points on Wednesday, hit by a drop in the share price of Nova Ljubljanska Banka [LJSE:NLBR], bourse data showed.
NLB’s shares closed 0.73% lower at 54.6 euro.
Last week, banking group NLB, the parent company of Nova Ljubljanska Banka, said that its consolidated after-tax profit fell to 94.3 million euro in the first half of 2019, from 104.8 million euro in the like period of 2018.
Logistics group Intereuropa [LJE:IEKG] posted the biggest gains among the blue chips on Wednesday, recovering from the losses it suffered in Tuesday's session.
Intereuropa's shares closed at 2.58 euro, up 2.38%. On Tuesday, they fell 3.08% to 2.52 euro.
LJSE's total daily trading turnover edged up to 1.1 million euro ($1.2 million) on Wednesday from 1.07 million euro on Tuesday.
Trading in the shares of pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] formed the largest portion of LJSE's turnover on Wednesday, of 399,660 euro.
