April 4 (SeeNews) - Sales of new passenger cars in Croatia declined to 6,258 in March from 6,274 in the same month of 2023, market research agency Promocija Plus said on Thursday.
Renault was the top-selling brand in the country of some 3.89 million people with 706 cars sold in March, Promocija Plus said in a statement. Its sales fell on an annual comparison basis, from 736 cars sold in March 2023.
Skoda followed with 695 cars, up from 524 in March 2023. Volkswagen ranked third with 615 cars, up from 606 in March last year.
The best-selling models in March were Skoda Octavia with 423 cars, Renault Clio with 379 ones and Suzuki Vitara with 254 cars sold.
In the first quarter of this year, new car sales in Croatia went up to 15,205 from 13,247 ones in the same period of 2023.
New car sales in the Adriatic country 2023 reached 56,697 last year, up from 44,088 in 2022, according to figures announced earlier by the agency.
