December 3 (SeeNews) - Online video streaming service Netflix said on Thursday it plans to open an office in Turkey's Istanbul in the second half of 2021, local media reported.
The office will be staffed by Netflix's current employees in Turkey, along with new employees, Daily Sabah reported.
The decision to open an office in Istanbul will contribute to the production of more Turkish series and films by the company, the daily quoted Netflix founder and co-CEO Reed Hastings as saying.
Netflix has over 3 million subscribers in Turkey, Hastings added.
Worldwide, the video streaming service has some 195 million members in 190 countries.
