October 30 (SeeNews) - Turkey's industry and technology minister Mustafa Varank said on Friday that Nestle Turkey has started the construction of a medical nutrition factory in the country's northwestern Bursa province, local media reported.
Nestle Turkey is investing 250 million lira ($30 million/26 million euro) in the new facility, which is expected to create a total of 400 direct and indirect jobs, Anadolu Agency quoted Varank as saying at the groundbreaking ceremony.
The factory will cover 63% of Turkey's needs for medical food products imports when working at full capacity, according to the statement.
Nestle is present on the Turkish market since 1909.
