SKOPJE (North Macedonia), October 21 (SeeNews) – The business confidence indicator in North Macedonia's retail sector edged up by 0.1 percentage points in the third quarter as compared to the previous quarter, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
The third-quarter reading of the index was 0.5 pp higher than the value recorded in the same period of 2018, Makstat said in a quarterly survey conducted among local managers.
"The financial situation in the third quarter of 2019 is more favourable compared to the previous one of 2019. The orders and the number of employees are expected to increase in the next period," the statistical office said.
The selling prices in the third quarter of 2019 have decreased compared to the previous quarter, and they are expected to drop further in the following three months.
