January 30 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's NLB Banka [MSE:TNB], part of Slovenian banking group Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB), booked a net profit of 2.4 billion denars ($42.9 million/39.4 million euro) in 2022, up 9.6% on an annual comparison basis, it said.
Net interest income edged up 7% to 3.2 billion denars in 2022, whereas net fee and commission income grew 4.8% to 1.3 billion denars, NLB Banka said in an annual financial statement on Friday.
NLB Banka decreased its net impairment losses on financial assets to 295.2 million denars in 2022 from 576.5 million denars a year earlier. Its total assets increased to 112.7 billion denars at the end of 2022 from 107.7 billion denars at the end of 2021.
Loans and advances to customers other than banks rose to 71 billion denars at the end of 2022 from 65.6 billion denars a year earlier, while deposits from such customers grew to 90.1 billion denars from 86.2 billion denars.
NLB Banka's shares last traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) on January 20, at at an average price of 24,500 denars, bourse data showed.
