August 1 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's fuel retailer Makpetrol [MSE:MPT] reported a net profit of 530.6 million denars ($8.8 million/8.6 million euro) for the first half of 2022, compared with a profit of 209.5 million denars booked in the like period last year.
Total operating revenues came in at 16.2 billion denars in the period under review, up 84% year-on-year, the company said in an interim financial statement filed with the stock exchange in Skopje last week.
Domestic sales rose 77% to 15.3 billion denars, while sales abroad jumped to 847.3 million denars in the January-June period, compared with the 177.4 million denars in the like period of 2021.
Makpetrol's operating expenses increased 82% to 15.7 billion denars.
The company's shares last traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) on July 29, at an average price of 72,000 denars, bourse data showed.
Makpetrol has a network of over a hundred filling stations across North Macedonia. The company also has units in neighbouring Serbia and Greece.
