October 7 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia reached an agreement with Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Bosnia to remove all border restrictions introduced to curb the Covid-19 spread, as there are no signs of a high number of imported cases from these countries, the government in Skopje said.
Based on the principle of reciprocity, a negative Covid-19 test result will not be required from the citizens of Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Bosnia who enter North Macedonia, as well as from residents of North Macedonia entering any of these countries, the government said in a statement on Tuesday.
The decision will take effect on October 12.
On Tuesday, North Macedonia confirmed 225 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total count to 19096, health ministry data shows. So far, 768 people have died from the Covid-19 disease in North Macedonia.
