January 12 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's state-run power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) [MNG:EPCG] said it called a tender for the elaboration of a preliminary design project for the reconstruction of Pljevlja thermal power plant (TPP).
The deadline for submission of bids is February 1, and the estimated value of the deal is 900,000 euro ($1.1 million), according to a public notice posted on the website of Montenegro's Public Procurement Administration on Thursday.
The tender winner will have seven months to complete the project, the public notice reads.
Last month, Montenegro's government said it plans to complete a project for the modernisation of Pljevlja TPP by 2021, in order to avoid the closure of the plant. The power plant has a utility life of 20,000 hours in the period between January 1, 2018, and December 31, 2023, environment minister Pavle Radulovic said back then.
EPCG said in October it plans to invest a total of 40 million euro over the next three years in the modernisation of the Pljevlja TPP.
