October 18 (SeeNews) - Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Thursday, as share indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 418 of Metalac's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 856,900 dinars. The company closed up 0.99% at 2,050 dinars.
Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, as its share price rose 5.96% to 2,098 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, went up 1.17% to 743.92 points on Thursday. The index rose 0.57% on Wednesday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, grew 0.68% to 1,552.85 points on Thursday, after increasing 0.50% on Wednesday.
Construction company Jedinstvo [BEL:JESV] paced the blue-chip decliners, as its share price fell 2.29% to 5,030 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse decreased to 9.5 million dinars ($91,812/80,077 euro) on Thursday from 37.4 million dinars on Wednesday, as 198 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 2.1 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 326.7 million dinars to the total turnover of 336.2 million dinars on the stock exchange.
