BELGRADE (Serbia), March 15 (SeeNews) – Industrial gases producer Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade bourse on Wednesday, as share indices ended increased, stock exchange data showed.
Messer Tehnogas won 3.28% and closed at 13,841 dinars, generating a share turnover of 3.7 million dinars, the highest one on the Belgrade bourse on Wednesday. A total of 268 Messer Tehnogas shares changed hands in four transactions.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] was the most traded company on the Belgrade stock market on Wednesday, as 2,454 of its shares changed hands in 76 deals, generating a turnover of 1.8 million dinars, the third highest one on the bourse. NIS lost 1.21% and closed the session at 735 dinars.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, won 0.35% to 741.88 points on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the index lost 0.17% to 739.29.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, increased by 0.33% and closed Wednesday's session at 1,616.31 after declining 0.17% to 1,613.83 on Tuesday.
Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] paced the blue-chip decliners in Belgrade on Wednesday. Its shares fell 1.61% and closed at 1,770 dinars. A total of 90 shares in the company changed hands, generating a trading turnover of 159,300 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse fell to 13.6 million dinars ($116,533/109,711 euro) on Wednesday from 24.9 million dinars on Tuesday, as a total of 272 transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse contributed 3.7 million dinars to the total turnover of the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
