October 28 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's largest commercial bank, Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje, said on Wednesday its preliminary operating profit fell to 711.1 million denars ($17.2 million/11.7 million euro) in the first nine months of 2009, 49.6% down from a year ago.

Komercijalna Banka, among the 10 most liquid shares of the MSE blue-chip index, closed at 3,380 denars on Wednesday, 2.0% down from Tuesday’s close.
Skopje-based Komercijalna (www.kb.com.mk ) is the largest Macedonian bank in terms of assets. It is the only large Macedonian bank that is not majority foreign-owned. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is the bank's only foreign-based shareholder with a 5.98% stake.
