SKOPJE (Macedonia), November 30 (SeeNews) – Macedonia's biggest forwarding company, Fersped [MSE:FERS], said on Thursday it turned to a consolidated net profit of 82.9 million denars ($1.6 million/1.3 million euro) in the first nine months of 2017 from a net loss of 2.5 million denars in the prior-year period.
The company’s consolidated operating revenue rose 6% on the year to 2.70 billion denars in the January-September period, Fersped said in a bourse filing.
Total consolidated operating expenses increased by 3% year-on-year to 2.57 billion denars in the period under review.
Financial revenue shrank by an annual 69% to 7.4 million denars in the review period, while financial expenses fell 38% to 24.6 million denars.
Fersped was established in 1968 and privatised in 1995. It offers mainly transport and forwarding services, as well as customs clearance and storage through offices in Bar, Belgrade, Durres, Pristina and Thessaloniki. Fersped is also active in the hospitality, wine production and brokerage sectors.
