December 19 (SeeNews) - Komercijalna Banka [BEL:KMBN] and cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] were the only blue-chip gainers on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday, as share indices declined.
The lender added 1.88% to 1,375 dinars, while Metalac advanced 1.36% to 1,642 dinars, bourse data showed.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, lost 0.39% to 718.38 points. On Friday, the index added 0.18% to 721.17.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, closed in the red for the fourth straight session, losing 0.35% to 1,570.79, after declining 0.10% to 1,576.23 on Friday.
Construction company Jedinstvo [BEL:JESV] paced the blue-chip decliners, losing 2.06% to 4,320 dinars. On Friday, the builder also was the biggest decliner among the blue chips after closing at 4,411 dinars, down 0.88%.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated a trading turnover of 6.5 million dinars ($54,895/52,587 euro) on Monday, the highest among the blue chips, and accounted for more than one-third of the 16.9 million dinars total trading in shares on the bourse for the day. On Friday, turnover from trading in shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange amounted to 18 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds generated 642.6 million dinars of Monday's total bourse turnover of 659.5 million dinars.
