April 23 (SeeNews) - Greece had a government debt-to-GDP ratio of 205.6% in the last quarter of 2020, the highest among EU member states, the bloc's statistical office Eurostat said on Friday, quoting provisional data.
Greece also showed the steepest debt-to-GDP ratio increase on an annual comparison basis among members of the bloc in the fourth quarter of 2020 - of 25.1 percentage points (pp), Eurostat said in a statement.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe (SEE), Bulgaria posted the third-lowest government debt-to-GDP ratio among EU-27, of 25%, after Estonia and Luxembourg.
