May 23 (SeeNews) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's state-level government said it has signed agreements for EU grants worth a total 43.8 million euro ($47.3 million), to be used for the construction of parts of European transport Corridor Vc and works on the water supply network in Visoko.
The EU is providing a 30.8 million euro grant for the construction of a Corridor Vc section between bridge Rudanka and the tunnel Putnikovo Brdo in the Serb Republic, the Council of Ministers said in a statement on Monday.
Another grant of 12 million euro will be provided for the construction of a Corridor Vc section connecting the tunnel Putnikovo Brdo 2 to the Medakovo interchange in the Federation.
Furthermore, the EU is providing a 1 million euro grant for the implementation of a water supply project in Visoko.
Corridor Vc has a total length of 700 km and connects the port of Ploce in Croatia with Budapest in Hungary, stretching some 340 km across Bosnia.
The Serb Republic and the Federation are the two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina.
