September 2 (SeeNews) - Croatian manufacturer of plastic components for the automotive industry AD Plastik [ZSE:ADPL] said on Monday it held 67,058 treasury shares as of August 30, representing 1.5967% of the issued share capital.
On August 29, the company purchased 300 of its own shares at a price of 170.6 kuna ($25/23 euro) apiece, and the next day it bought a further 200 own shares at the same price, AD Plastik said in a filing with the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE).
AD Plastik's shares traded 2.34% lower at 167 kuna by 09:30 CET on ZSE on Monday, after closing flat at 171 kuna on Friday.
Local media reported last week that AD Plastik is looking to employ an additional 150 workers in its plant in Zagreb by the end of the year, in order to facilitate the launch of serial production of components for Renault Clio 5 and Ford Puma.
In July, the company signed contracts worth a total of 71.4 million euro ($78.4 million) for the production of parts for the Renault-Nissan-AvtoVAZ alliance. The company currently employs 1,550 workers.
