April 6 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's health ministry said on Monday that the cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country rose to 541, while the death toll increased to 21 people.
The number of recoveries also increased to 39 in total, the ministry said in a statement.
The average age of people who died from the virus is 62.8 years, while the average age of the patients who recovered is 47 years.
A total of 210 of the patients are hospitalised, of which 22 are in intensive care.
The first coronavirus case in Bulgaria was detected on March 8. Bulgaria is currently in a state of emergency due to the virus.
