March 16 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian coal-fired power plant ContourGlobal Maritza Iztok 3 said it has established a qualification system for supply of 6,000 tonnes of low-sulphur boiler fuel worth 4.3 million levs ($2.7 million/2.2 million euro).
The qualification system is set up in order for the company to select fuel suppliers for the long-term needs of ContourGlobal Maritza Iztok 3, the power plant operator announced on Thursday.
The 908-MW ContourGlobal Maritza Iztok 3 is 73%-owned by international power generation company ContourGlobal, while Bulgarian state-owned National Electricity Company holds a 27% stake.
