March 30 (SeeNews) - Three of the four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed higher on Thursday, with the blue-chip SOFIX gaining 0.23% to 606.66 points.
SOFIX was boosted by a 3.04% increase in diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM] to 0.746 levs and a 2.08% rise in diversified group Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH] to 7.86 levs.
Chimimport and Doverie United Holding also pushed up the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse. Diversified group Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria [BUL:ZHBG], however, advanced the most, by 3.38% to 0.153 levs. Overall, the BGBX40 closed 0.01% higher at 139.52 levs.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, climbed by 0.12% to 187.28 points, backed by a 0.59% rise in Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] to 3.42 levs.
On the other hand, the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, edged down by 0.02% to 719.74 points. The index was held back by a 2.56% loss in diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH] to 9.50 levs and a 2.54% fall in fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH] to 38.40 levs, which offset the gains at Chimimport and Doverie United Holding.
Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange dropped to 446,245 levs ($247,486/228,161 euro) on Thursday from 729,417 levs a day earlier.
Sila Holding [BUL:HSI] was the most traded stock of the day, generating 110,397 levs with 37,550 shares changing hands. The company closed 0.68% higher at 2.94 levs.
