March 26 (SeeNews) - Lender Central Cooperative Bank (CCB) [BUL:4CF] fell most among companies listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange on Tuesday, dragging along the major stock indices.
CCB shares lost 6.63% to 1.55 levs on Tuesday, but are still 9.93% up year-to-date.
The company's majority owner - diversified group Chimimport [BUL:6C4], was the other major decliner among blue chips on Tuesday, dropping 2.43% to 1.805 levs.
The blue-chip SOFIX index ended the session 0.76% lower at 578.37 points, and is currently 2.71% lower year-to-date.
The BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, dropped 0.47% to 115.04 points. In addition to the drop in CCB and Chimimport's share prices, IoT products maker Allterco [BUL:A4L] lost 4.0% of its share price to 2.40 levs, with the three companies offsetting a 10.19% rise in fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:3NB] shares.
The BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, slid 0.47% to 501.18 points. Besides CCB and Chimimport, power utility CEZ Distribution Bulgaria [BUL:3CZ] was the third biggest loser on Tuesday, losing 1.92% to 204 levs.
CEZ Distribution Bulgaria gained 4% in the preceding session, amid media reports that financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:4EH] in considering a bid for the local assets of Czech energy group CEZ, including CEZ Distribution Bulgaria.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, closed unchanged at 120.14 points.
Total trading turnover on the BSE regulated market rose to 1.2 million levs ($693,000/614,000 euro) on Tuesday from just 185,000 levs on Monday.
