February 18 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production fell by an annual 13.20% to 6,086 GWh in the January 1 - February 16 period of 2020, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Electricity exports dropped 26.24% to 847 GWh in the period under review, while imports soared 123.94% to 780 GWh, data from ESO's weekly bulletin showed.
Domestic power consumption fell 3.10% to 6,019 GWh.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system grew 17.94% year-on-year to 196 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose 21.39% to 263 GWh.
