December 11 (SeeNews) - Kiril Petkov, leader of Bulgaria's We Continue the Change, the anti-graft party winner of November's snap vote, handed president Rumen Radev a coalition cabinet list upon receiving a government-formation madate on Saturday.
The proposed cabinet lineup, however, was not disclosed.
After winning 26% of the votes in the election, We Continue the Change signed last week a coalition agreement with three of the remaining six political formations in parliament - the Bulgarian Socialist Party, populist formation There Is Such a People (TISP) and the anti-status quo, pro-reform Democratic Bulgaria coalition. The four formations hold a majority in the 240-seat parliament.
"Not a single day should be lost," Petkov told Radev upon submitting the proposed government list.
For his part, Radev said that the future government will have a hundred days to achieve meaningful results in the fight against corruption, its most important task.
"You and the partner parties have the responsibility to take down the vicious model of governance imposed by the 12-year vicious authoritarian rule, and throw the puppeteers out of the country, " Radev said.
The cabinet lineup will be put to the vote in parliament on Monday.
