January 13 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's trade deficit increased to 7.4 billion levs ($4.3 billion/3.8 billion euro) in the first eleven months of last year, compared to a gap of 4.6 billion levs in the same period of 2020, the statistical office said on Thursday, citing preliminary data.
Eleven-month exports (FOB) went up 23.3% on the year, reaching 62 billion levs, while imports (CIF) rose 26.3% to 69.4 billion levs, the National Statistical Institute said in a statement.
In November alone, Bulgaria's trade gap widened to 1.4 billion levs, from 814.4 million levs in the comparable month of 2020, as exports rose 26.3% to 6.2 billion levs, whereas imports added 32% to about 7.5 billion levs.
