March 2 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian thermal power plant (TPP) Maritsa 3 [BUL:6TM] said that its consolidated net profit more than doubled to 5.6 million levs ($3.2 million/2.9 million euro) in 2019 from 2.6 million levs in 2018, as its revenue soared.
The power plant operator's revenue grew to 48.6 million levs last year from 17.5 million levs in 2018, the company said in an annual financial statement.
Operating expenses also rose sharply, to 43 million levs in 2019 from 12.6 million levs, on the back of higher cost of goods sold.
The 120 MW plant is located in the town of Dimitrovgrad, in southern Bulgaria.
